May the 4th:
My high school buddies and I went to this coffee + milk tea shop called “Sprockets Cafe” which is lomo-themed. Lomographs were posted on the wall, Lomo cams were displayed, expired films were sold, pillows were printed with lomo cam images, and everything was just lomo-ish.
They sell the Instax (polaroid camera) paper. They also have this service to take a shot of you in the cafe using a polaroid cam they have. And you can post it on their corkboard. This costs Php60 per shot.
Their Margarita pizza is so yummy. If I am not mistaken, it costs Php210. Their bestsellers are the Honeydew milk tea and the Taro milk tea (which reminded me of Quickly). When you order their drinks, the crew will ask you the level of sweetness you want in your drink. Being the “not-so-sweets-fan”, I ordered my drink to be 25% sweet, and I regretted it. Sigh.
Lesson learned: Settle for balance. Fifty percent is always safe.
Sad though, that in that very moment while I was enjoying the place, our family dog died at home. I feel so horrible. It’s like losing a child.
And I never knew what caused her death. It was all too sudden.
Now my heart has a hole.
“May the 4th be with me” was never totally for me.
